Monalisa Wants To Participate In ‘Bigg Boss 16’, Makes Big Statement
Bhojpuri star Monsalisa, who had featured in ‘Bigg Boss 10’, wants to re-enter the controversial reality show.
Bhojpuri actress Monalisa, who has appeared in movies in several other Indian dialects, gained more prominence after participating in ‘Bigg Boss 10’ in 2016. Monalisa couldn’t reach the finale of ‘BB 10’ but her onscreen Swayamvar with her-then boyfriend Vikrant Singh Rajpoot inside the Bigg Boss house created quite a buzz. Monalisa, in a recent interaction with Telly Chakkar, expressed her desire to re-enter the controversial reality show, hosted by Salman Khan.
On being asked if she would like to enter ‘Bigg Boss 16’ as a wild card contestant, Monalisa said, “I would love to go into the Bigg Boss house as a wild card contestant. The last time when I went, I couldn’t play that well as I was so new to the industry.”
“But now if I enter the BB house, I will kill it because I will play the game and aim to win the show,” the Bhojpuri actress added.
Monalisa, who also goes by the name Antara Biswas, also said, “This season is very interesting as every time, something different is happening in every episode. It’s very difficult to say who my favourite contestant is, because when you like someone, they suddenly do something which makes you not like them anymore. So right now, I am very confused.”
Talking about Monalisa’s career, the Bhojpuri actress made her debut in the Hindi film industry with the movie ‘Jayate’ in 1997. She has appeared in a slew of Bollywood films like ‘Tauba Tauba’, ‘Bunty Aur Babli’, ‘Blackmail’, ‘Jackpot’ and ‘Kaafila’.
Apart from being a known face in the world of showbiz, Monalisa is also one of the most followed Bhojpuri stars on Instagram, with over 5 million followers on the photo-sharing platform.
‘Bigg Boss 16’, which airs on Colors TV and is also available to watch on Voot Select, premiered on October 1, 2022. The grand finale of the controversial reality show is likely to take place in February 2023.
The celebrities fighting it in the house this time are Sajid Khan, Tina Datta, Shalin Bhanot, Soundarya Sharma, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, Ankit Gupta, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, Sumbul Touqueer Khan, Archana Gautam and Shiv Thakare.
