"Nikal Padi Meri": Priyanka Chahar Choudhary On Rumours Of Her Acting Opposite Shah Rukh Khan In 'Dunki'
Here's what Priyanka Chahar Choudhary had to say on rumours of her bagging SRK's film 'Dunki'.
Priyanka Chahar Choudhary might have failed to win Bigg Boss 16, but she managed to win hearts. The TV actress enjoyed a massive fan following in the show, and there were many who thought that it would be her who will walk away with the title. However, it was not to be the case as she finished third, and MC Stan turned out to be the eventual winner. Prior to the finale, there were rumours that Priyanka Chahar Choudhary had bagged Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming movie 'Dunki' which is being directed by Rajkumar Hirani.
Addressing the rumours, Priyanka said that she does not know anything about 'Dunki', but if it is true, then it would be a great thing.
“Honestly, we have been locked inside for the last four months so I didn’t even know about SRK’s film Dunki. It’s now while speaking to the media that I am hearing about it. I had no idea and I haven’t even had time to talk to my team. But oh my god, if it’s true I am overjoyed. I had never thought I would get something like this. Nikal padi meri,” Priyanka told The Indian Express.
When asked about a certain section predicting her as fixed winner of Bigg Boss 16 as she was a face of Colors TV, Priyanka said: "Fixed winner? Dekho main yaha hu bina trophy ke (See I am here without the trophy). This is why one shouldn’t make such assumptions. The show is a fair one and you never know which side it goes. There’s nothing fixed in the show.”
As a result of being the winner of Bigg Boss 16, MC Stan walked away with a cash prize of Rs 31,80,000 and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.
Of all the five finalists, Shalin Bhanot finished in the fifth spot, Archana Gautam finished in the fourth spot, Priyanka came third and Shiv Thakare finished in the second spot.
'Bigg Boss 16' started airing in October in 2022, and ever since its premiere, the show continued to be lapped up by fans. The recently-concluded season also saw a spike in TRPs and there were many controversial moments.
