‘Bigg Boss 16’ contestant Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, whose fans were left disappointed after she missed out on winning the trophy, became the second runner up of the Salman Khan-hosted show. While MC Stan went on to win ‘Bigg Boss 16’, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary came out as one of the most promising contestants, ruling the hearts of many with her strong and fearless attitude. Even Salman Khan praised Priyanka, calling her the real “winner”.
Priyanka Chahar Choudhary not only won hearts with her strong game, but also for bond with ‘BB 16’ contestant Ankit Gupta.
In a recent interaction with E Times, the actress opened up about her equation with Ankit Gupta, her future plans and much more.
Priyanka Choudhary talked about the moment when Ankit Gupta got emotional after the former was announced as the second runner up.
She said, “I always had this complaint with Ankit that he never expressed his feelings but today I learnt that he cried for me when I did not win the show. He felt bad that his friend did not win. I made him understand to be practical. He is actually practical but today his emotions took over everything. He must have felt bad.”
Further talking about her relationship with Ankit Gupta, the actress said, “Ankit and I are just friends and we haven’t thought of anything. Everyone is asking me this but we haven’t planned anything. Our friendship is very strong and good and we don’t want to spoil it.”
On being asked about the film offers that she was getting, Priyanka said, “I don’t have any idea about Shah Rukh Khan sir’s film because I have just come out and haven’t got a chance to speak with anyone. Salman Sir had asked me to meet him after the show that I know but there is nothing more to it as of now. For me both are like Gods.”
She further talked about continuing her television journey and added, “I would like to say that it is not like I will quit working in television if I get films. I am fine working in any medium. I haven’t made any category in my mind. Whatever work I will like, I'll do it. Whether it is a show, film or a web series.”
Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, a popular television actress, has starred in several shows including ‘Udaariyaan’, ‘Gathbandhan’ and Parineeti, among others.
Coming back to Priyanka and Ankit, the two co-starred in the hit show ‘Udaariyaan’ and entered the ‘Bigg Boss 16’ house together. Their bond in the show became the talk of the town and their fans fondly address them as ‘PriyAnkit’.
The two never failed to prove their loyalty to each other and always stood by one another like solid pillars.
While Ankit won many hearts for his calm demeanor and being a supportive friend, Priyanka received the title of ‘sherni’ because of her fearless game and was often called the lone wolf of the house, after Ankit Gupta’s eviction from the reality show.
The grand finale of ‘Bigg Boss 16’ was held on Sunday night, with Pune-based rapper MC Stan being declared the winner.
Shiv Thakare was declared the runner-up, while Priyanka Chahar Choudhary came in third. The other finalists of the Salman Khan-hosted show were Shalin Bhanot and Archana Gautam.
