Rahul Vaidya has reacted to his controversy with Virat Kohli.

The internet went into a frenzy after singer Rahul Vaidya’s controversial comments about cricketer Virat Kohli spiralled into an unexpected Instagram drama. It all began when Rahul Vaidya joked about Virat Kohli liking a post related to actress Avneet Kaur. Soon after, the singer claimed he was blocked by the cricketer. But just as things heated up, Rahul Vaidya revealed in a surprising twist that Virat Kohli had unblocked him. Later singing a different tune, the singer took to Instagram to shower praise on Kohli, calling him “one of the greatest batters” cricket has ever produced.

Recently, Rahul Vaidya stepped out in the city to shoot for the second season of ‘Laughter Chefs’. It was then that the shutterbugs asked the singer about his controversy with Virat Kohli.

“Woh baat pe ceasefire ho chuka hai, and I love him,” said Rahul Vaidya while interacting with the paparazzi.

As soon as the video surfaced online, several social media users reacted to it. One user commented, “Joker.”

Another one said, “Iska sakal se he pta lag rha h ki ktna gali khaya h.”

A third one said, “Joker to khud hi lgta hai ye.”

Another user commented, “He is mad.”

Previously, Rahul Vaidya had taken a dig at Virat Kohli and he labelled the cricketer's fans “Do kaudi ke jokers”. This comment did not sit well with the fans of the superstar and they took to social media to abuse Rahul Vaidya and his family.

“Virat Kohli’s fans are even bigger jokers than Virat! And now you are abusing me that's fine but you are abusing my wife my sister.. who have nothing to do with this! So I was right. That's why you all Virat Kohli fans are jokers! 2 kaudi ke jokers,” he wrote on Instagram Stories.

Recently, Virat Kohli was at the centre of a huge social media storm after several users noticed that his Instagram account had liked a post from a fan page dedicated to actress Avneet Kaur.

However, he issued a clarification regarding the same, saying, “I'd like to clarify that while clearing my feed, it appears the algorithm may have mistakenly registered an interaction. There was absolutely no intent behind it. I request that no unnecessary assumptions be made. Thank you for your understanding.”

Recently, Virat Kohli announced his retirement from Test cricket, having played 123 Tests. He also captained India in 68 matches.
