Watch: Amid KL Rahul Row With Venkatesh Prasad, Aakash Chopra's Old Video With Suniel Shetty Goes Viral
Amid his ongoing KL Rahul row with Venkatesh Prasad, Aakash Chopra's old video with Suniel Shetty is now going viral.
Cricket is one sport which enjoys massive fan following in India and is almost considered as a religion. So, it is no surprise that players face a lot of scrutiny after some underwhelming performances and all greats have gone through phases where they have been criticised. However, right-handed batter KL Rahul's case is completely different as his blip in form has resulted in a war of words between two former Indian cricketers -- Aakash Chopra and Venkatesh Prasad.
Venkatesh Prasad has been quite vocal in his criticism of KL Rahul, and the former pacer has quite often posted long threads to show how Rahul has not been performing, still he has been given a long rope by the team management.
On the other hand, Aakash Chopra has defended KL Rahul, saying stats do not tell the whole picture, and the entire picture should be given before criticising a player.
Now, amid this ongoing row between the two players, an old video of Aakash Chopra is going viral in which he is talking with Suniel Shetty, who happens to be the father-in-law of KL Rahul.
In the video, Aakash Chopra can be seen introducing Suniel Shetty as: "Anna, mentor, bade bhai, father like figure, my guide."

To make matters more interesting, this video has also been liked by Venkatesh Prasad.
On Tuesday, Venkatesh Prasad called out Aakash Chopra, saying: "So my friend Aakash Chopra after making a vile video on YouTube this morning where he calls me an agenda peddle, conveniently and cleverly misquotes me, removes Mayank's average of 70 at home, wants to gag views which are not in line with what he believes but wanted Rohit out."

For the unversed, Aakash Chopra on his YouTube channel had said: "I am not saying KL Rahul will become like Rohit Sharma but I humbly request you to stay calm. If there are any agendas, let's not peddle them. Let's talk about the numbers that are actually there and not those that suit your thoughts."
KL Rahul has not been in top form in the ongoing Test series against Australia as he has recorded scores of 20, 17 and 1 in the two Tests.
Now, it needs to be seen whether he retains his place in the playing XI for the third Test or not. The third Test begins in Indore on March 1.
