Natasa Stankovic fumes over Hardik Pandya's dismissal in 1st ODI vs New Zealand.

The first ODI between India and New Zealand at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad proved to be a humdinger and it was the Rohit Sharma-led side that managed to hold its nerve to seal a narrow 12-run win. However, the spotlight still remains on the controversial dismissal of Hardik Pandya during India's batting innings.

Hardik Pandya was batting well and he had formed a good partnership with Shubman Gill, but the dismissal ended his 28-run innings. A delivery bowled by Daryl Mitchell did not offer much room to Hardik, and due to the extra bounce, he ended up missing it completely.

It seemed as if the ball went over the stumps, and the bails were dislodged. However, the situation was not clear as there was a possibility that the bails were dislodged by New Zealand wicketkeeper Tom Latham.

The TV umpire KN Anantha Padmanabhan, however, deemed that the ball in fact clipped the bails, turning on the light before being caught by Latham. This verdict of out even shocked commentator Ravi Shastri.

Now, Hardik Pandya's wife Natasa Stankovic has also reacted to the same. Taking to her Instagram story, she wrote: "There was no bat involved, wasn't bowled out. So how's this out."

However, credit due where its due, after being adjudged out by the third umpire, Hardik did not even protest once and he simply walked off the field.

In the first ODI, India batted first and posted 349/8 on the board, owing to Shubman Gill's 208-run knock.

New Zealand were completely down and out, after being reduced to 131/6 in the 29th over. However, Michael Bracewell and Mitchell Santner formed a 162-run stand for the seventh wicket. Bracewell was dismissed on 140 in the final over of the match and hence India sealed a win.
