With their brilliant video ideas, they don’t just demonstrate their enviable self-confidence but also their acting prowess.
Thanks to the digital age, some of these content creators have landed themselves big Bollywood debuts.

1. Prajakta Koli: Better known as ‘Mostly Sane’, social media influencer and YouTuber, Prajakta Koli made her OTT debut with the popular Netflix series ‘Mismatched’, which recently released its second season.
After showcasing her exceptional acting skills in the web series, Prajakta Koli made her Bollywood debut with Karan Johar’s production venture ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’. The Bollywood movie, which released on June 24 this year, also featured Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Kiara Advani and Varun Dhawan.

2. Carry Minati: Indian YouTuber Ajey Nagar, better known as Carry Minati, popular for sharing roast videos, made his silver screen debut with Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn’s ‘Runway 34’. Carry Minati essayed the role of a social media sensation, which is quite similar to his real life. The Bollywood movie arrived in cinemas on April 29, 2022.

3. Kusha Kapila: Everyone has heard of Kusha Kapila, unless you have been living under a rock! The content creator is known for playing diverse characters with utmost ease and perfection.

Kusha Kapila made her acting debut with Netflix’s anthology ‘Ghost Stories’ with Karan Johar’s digital production wing Dharmatic Entertainment.
4. Dolly Singh: Fashion blogger and social media influencer Dolly Singh made her acting debut with Netflix 2020 series ‘Bhaag Beanie Bhaag’ starring Swara Bhaskar in the lead role.

Dolly Singh, who is known for her comic timing and exceptional acting skills, received immense appreciation for her role of the protagonist’s best friend Kapi. Dolly Singh has also featured in Lionsgate Play’s ‘Feels Like Home’ and Netflix’s ‘Modern Love Mumbai’.
5. Sahil Khattar: Sahil Khattar, a popular name in the digital world, has hosted several gigs and often shares YouTube videos. The content creator made his Bollywood debut with Ranveer Singh’s ‘83’.

The sports drama was based on the Indian cricket team’s first world cup victory in 1983. Sahil Khattar essayed the role of Indian wicket-keeper Syed Kirmani.
6. Harsh Beniwal: Popular YouTuber Harsh Beniwal, who rose to fame with his Dubsmash videos in 2015, landed his Bollywood break with Karan Johar’s ‘Student Of The Year 2’. The 2019 movie featured Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria in the lead roles. Harsh Beniwal played the role of Tiger Shroff’s friend in the flick.

7. Shirley Setia: Youtuber and singing sensation Shirley Setia made her acting debut with ‘Nikamma’ starring Shilpa Shetty and Abhimanyu Dassani. The film had released on June 17, 2022. Shirley Setia also featured in the Telugu film ‘Krishna Vrinda Vihari’, which hit theatres on September 23 this year.

Prior to these projects, Shirley Setia appeared in Marshmello’s video ‘Biba’ with megastar Shah Rukh Khan and music director Pritam.
