Abhinav Kashyap Calls Aamir Khan “Sabse Chalaak Lomdi” In Explosive Interview
Abhinav Kashyap reignited controversy by calling Aamir Khan “sabse chalaak lomdi” and accusing him of manipulating directors, draining collaborators, and controlling creative minds in Bollywood.
Filmmaker Abhinav Kashyap, best known for directing ‘Dabangg’ and for his long-standing feud with Salman Khan and his family, has sparked yet another controversy. This time, he targeted Aamir Khan. In a recent explosive interview, Abhinav Kashyap branded Aamir Khan as “sabse chalaak lomdi” in the Hindi film industry, alleging that the superstar manipulates filmmakers and colleagues to maintain control over his projects.
Speaking to Bollywood Thikana, Abhinav Kashyap claimed, “He’s the most cunning fox. He’s even shorter than Salman. But what a manipulative man he is, and the most clever thief. I mean, the story about Amol Gupta (Amole Gupte). I probably told you last time that he started the trend of dominating and manipulating directors, and his associates followed suit. Aamir Khan does just that. He finds weaknesses by seducing important people, throwing parties, indulging in debauchery, drinking alcohol, and feeding them food. He takes 25 takes of something; his first and last takes are the same. He doesn’t understand acting, and there’s not even that much difference in his performance.”
The ‘Dabangg’ filmmaker went on to accuse Aamir Khan of mentally exhausting his collaborators by over-involving himself in all stages of filmmaking – from the shoot to the editing table. “He’s anal about perfectionism,” Abhinav said, adding that Aamir “drains out” those who work with him.
Taking his criticism further, Abhinav Kashyap alleged that Aamir Khan has “trapped” some of Bollywood’s most respected creative figures. “He’s manipulated me a lot in his ad films and works through very powerful people. He’s trapped some of the industry’s most prominent intellectuals, including Prasoon Joshi and Rakesh Omprakash Mehra. I respect them a lot, but I don’t know what hold he has over them,” he claimed.
Abhinav Kashyap’s remarks have reignited debate within the film fraternity. His comments come not long after his public fallout with Salman Khan and the ‘Dabangg’ franchise, where he previously accused the Khan family of professional sabotage. While some social media users see his latest statements as bold industry truths, others view them as another fiery outburst in his ongoing feud with Bollywood’s biggest stars.
