The rumours mills are rife that Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are headed for a divorce. Amidst all this speculation, recent reports suggested that Abhishek Bachchan had finally broken his silence on divorce rumours with wife Aishwarya Rai. However, Abhishek Bachchan has not addressed these rumours. For the unversed, Abhishek Bachchan’s statement is from an old interview and not a recent one as reported by many media portals. Contradictory to these reports, Abhishek Bachchan made a statement about his marriage a few days after attending the premiere of Aishwarya's 2016 film ‘Sarbjit’.
In an old interaction with the media, when a reporter asked if “things were not good” between him and Aishwarya, Abhishek Bachchan had said, “I don't have to say anything to you all about that.”
He had added, “I think, you all have blown the entire thing out of proportion, sadly. But I understand why you do it. You all have to file some stories. It’s okay, we’re celebrities, we have to take it. Still married, sorry.”

For the unversed, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai got married in 2007. The celebrity couple welcomed their daughter - Aaradhya - in November 2011.
