"Acting Ka A...": Did TV Actress Kamya Punjabi Take A Dig At Sonakshi Sinha's Performance In 'Dahaad'?
TV actress Kamya Punjabi said that she started watching a web series, starring a daughter of a veteran actor, but she failed to make it past Episode 1.
Amazon Prime Video show 'Dahaad' had released on the platform in the month of May this year, and the show garnered praise from critics and audiences alike. The performances of Sonakshi Sinha, Vijay Varma and Gulshan Devaiah were praised universally, however it looks like Sonakshi Sinha's performance has not impressed TV actress Kamya Punjabi. While the seasoned star did not name Sonakshi Sinha or 'Dahaad', her statement definitely made it seem like she was talking about Sonakshi.

“Bahut saare projects mein aise log dikhte hain jinko acting ka A bhi nahi aata. Sorry, but I won’t name them. Recently, I was watching a web show in which a big personality, the daughter of a very big actor made her debut," Kamya Punjabi told Hindustan Times.
"I started that show aur mujse ek episode se zyada hazam nahi hua because unko bilkul acting nahi aati. But what can one do... she is the daughter of a veteran, and then she is doing the web show,” she added.
For the unversed, Sonakshi Sinha made her OTT debut with 'Dahaad' and she happens to be the daughter of Shatrughan Sinha.
Further talking about OTT platforms and the content, Kamya Punjabi said: "Why are they casting actors who don’t know how to act and perform well? It is sad."
“Makers would cast big names, star kids and established actors only because they want their projects to sell and be watched... But what’s the point. Where is talent,” she added.
Kamya Punjabi is known for her TV shows like 'Shakti Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki' and 'Sanjog'.
The actress had also participated in 'Bigg Boss 7' in 2013, however, she failed to win the show.
Kamya Punjabi then joined Congress in 2021.
