Actor Shreyas Talpade Suffers Heart Attack, Undergoes Angioplasty
Actor Shreyas Talpade underwent an angioplasty at the Bellevue Hospital in Andheri, Mumbai.
'Om Shanti Om' and 'Iqbal' actor Shreyas Talpade underwent an angioplasty at the Bellevue Hospital in Andheri, Mumbai. The Bollywood actor underwent the medical procedure after he suffered a heart attack following a shoot in Mumbai, as reported by news agency ANI. As per several media reports, Shreyas Talpade is now doing fine after the medical procedure was successful.
“Shreyas sir got admitted to the hospital at 8 pm. The procedure has been successful, and he is doing alright. He should get discharged in three to four days," Indian Express quoted a source as saying.
On the work front, Shreyas Talpade was last seen in 2022 biographical drama 'Kaun Pravin Tambe'.
The movie was based on the life of Mumbai-based cricketer Pravin Tambe, who has played for IPL franchises Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders.
Shreyas Talpade will next be seen in Kangana Ranaut's 'Emergency' which is slated to release in theatres in 2024.
The actor will also be seen in 'Welcome to the Jungle', which also stars Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Mika Singh, Rahul Dev, Mukesh Tiwari, Sharib Hashmi, Inaamulhaq, Zakir Hussain, Yashpal Sharma, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani and Vrihi Kodvara.
Directed by Ahmed Khan and produced by Firoz A. Nadiadwala and Jyoti Deshpande, the film is slated to hit theatres on December 20, 2024.
Interestingly, the original film ‘Welcome’ was also released on Christmas in 2007. ‘Welcome’ and ‘Welcome Back’, both produced by Firoz Nadiadwala, have earned a special place in people’s hearts. The first installment featured stars like Katrina Kaif, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, and Mallika Sherawat.
‘Welcome Back’ continued the legacy with stars like John Abraham, Shruti Haasan, Dimple Kapadia and Naseeruddin Shah.
