'Adipurush' action trailer was unveiled to the world in a big-scale event held at Tirupati on Tuesday. The new movie which releases on June 16 stars Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan and Sunny Singh in lead roles. The new movie is based on the epic Ramayana. However, ahead of the much-awaited release, the movie director Om Raut and actress Kriti Sanon are in the middle of a controversy after the filmmaker was seen kissing Kriti Sanon on the cheeks outside Tirupati Temple premises.

The video went viral on social media, and BJP State Secretary Ramesh Naidu also reacted, slamming Kriti Sanon and Om Raut. However, he deleted the tweet later on.

In his now-deleted tweet, Ramesh Naidu said: "Is it really necessary to bring your antics to a sacred place? Engaging in public displays of affection, like kissing and hugging, in front of the Lord Venkateswara Swamy Temple in #Tirumala is deemed disrespectful and unacceptable."

Before the final trailer launch, Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and the entire team of 'Adipurush' had visited the Tirumala Temple in Tirupathi to seek blessings.

In the movie, Prabhas is playing Lord Ram, Kriti Sanon is essaying the role of Sita while Saif Ali Khan is portraying Raavan (Lankesh).

Earlier, the makers of 'Adipurush' had officially confirmed that the new Hindi movie would be having its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 13.

The 'Adipurush' teaser came out last year, however, it did not meet expectations as netizens slammed the makers for questionable VFX effects.

‘Adipurush’ had earlier courted controversy, including boycott calls, when many objected to the depiction of Hindu deities and inferior quality of visual effects in the teaser of the film launched in October.

The magnum opus, slated to hit the theatres in IMAX and 3D, will release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
