Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan’s ‘Metro In Dino’ To Hit Theatres On This Date
Anurag Basu's ‘Metro In Dino’, which stars Aditya Roy Kapur and Sara Ali Khan, will now release next year.
Sara Ali Khan, who is basking in the success of her recently released Bollywood film ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’ co-starring Vicky Kaushal, will soon share screen space with Aditya Roy Kapur in ‘Metro In Dino’. The new Hindi movie, also starring Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Anupam Kher, Ali Fazal, and Neena Gupta, has gotten a new release date. Directed by Anurag Basu, the film was earlier supposed to release in December 2023. However, it will now hit the cinemas on March 29, 2024.
T-Series, the production company behind ‘Metro In Dino’, shared the new release date on Twitter. “MetroInDino gets a Good Friday release. This anthology of heartwarming stories will now release on 29th March 2024,” the tweet read.

Touted as an anthology of “heartwarming stories of contemporary couples,” the film is produced by Bhushan Kumar of T-Series and Anurag Basu Productions Pvt Ltd. The new Hindi movie’s music will be composed by Pritam.
Anurag Basu and Pritam have previously collaborated on films ‘Gangster’, ‘Life in a Metro’, ‘Barfi!’, ‘Jagga Jasoos’, and ‘Ludo’.
Talking about his new directorial venture, Anurag Basu had said, “Metro In Dino is a tale of the people and for the people! It has been a while I am working on this one and I am glad to be collaborating with a powerhouse like Bhushan Kumar yet again who has always been like a pillar to me! The storyline is very fresh and relevant as I look forward to collaborating with amazing artists who bring that essence of contemporary aura with them.”
He added, "As music plays a very important role in any film, I couldn't be happier to be collaborating with my dear friend Pritam who has literally added life to the characters and story with his work."
The previous film in the series, ‘Life in a Metro’, starred Kangana Ranaut, Shiney Ahuja, Shilpa Shetty, Dharmendra, Irrfan Khan and Kay Kay Menon in pivotal roles.
Meanwhile, Anurag Basu is known for his films ‘Barfi’, ‘Life In a Metro’, ‘Ludo’, and ‘Jagga Jasoos’.
He will also be directing ‘Aashiqui 3’, which stars Kartik Aaryan in the lead role.
