Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan’s ‘Metro In Dino’ Gets New Release Date
Anurag Basu's ‘Metro In Dino’, which stars Aditya Roy Kapur and Sara Ali Khan, has got a new release date.
Get ready to witness a fresh pairing on the silver screen soon! Sara Ali Khan, who last starred alongside Vicky Kaushal in the hit 2023 Bollywood movie ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’, will soon be seen romancing Aditya Roy Kapur in ‘Metro In Dino’. But the wait to see them together just got longer. The new Hindi movie, also starring Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Anupam Kher, Ali Fazal, and Neena Gupta, has gotten a new release date.
Directed by Anurag Basu, the film was earlier supposed to release in March 2024. However, it will now arrive in cinemas on September 13, 2024.
T-Series, the production company behind ‘Metro In Dino’, shared the new release date of the movie on X (formerly Twitter).

The movie was previously slated to release on March 29, 2024. Touted as an anthology of “heartwarming stories of contemporary couples,” the film is produced by Bhushan Kumar of T-Series and Anurag Basu Productions Pvt Ltd.
The new Hindi movie’s music will be composed by Pritam. Anurag Basu and Pritam have previously collaborated on films ‘Gangster’, ‘Life in a Metro’, ‘Barfi!’, ‘Jagga Jasoos’, and ‘Ludo’.
Talking about his new directorial venture, Anurag Basu had previously said, “Metro In Dino is a tale of the people and for the people! It has been a while I am working on this one and I am glad to be collaborating with a powerhouse like Bhushan Kumar yet again who has always been like a pillar to me! The storyline is very fresh and relevant as I look forward to collaborating with amazing artists who bring that essence of contemporary aura with them.”
He added, “As music plays a very important role in any film, I couldn't be happier to be collaborating with my dear friend Pritam who has literally added life to the characters and story with his work.”
Anurag Basu is known for his films ‘Barfi’, ‘Life In a Metro’, ‘Ludo’, and ‘Jagga Jasoos’. He will also be directing ‘Aashiqui 3’, which stars Kartik Aaryan in the lead role. Reportedly, Triptii Dimri has bagged the role of the female lead in ‘Aashiqui 3’.
