A deepfake video of Kajol is going viral on the internet, something which has happened to Rashmika Mandanna and Katrina Kaif.

After Rashmika Mandanna and Katrina Kaif, Kajol has fallen prey to deepfake technology. In the latest entertainment news, a deepfake video is going viral on the internet in which a person depicting her, can be seen changing outfits. The clip originally features a social media influencer and the video showcasing Kajol has now been identified as a manipulated video by fact-checking platform BOOM.

As per Zoom, the report of Boom reveals that Kajol's face was morphed onto the influencer's face in the video, which was originally uploaded on TikTok on June 5 this year as part of the 'Get Ready With Me' trend.

This is not the first time that an Indian celebrity has been hit by a deepfake video. Earlier, Rashmika Mandanna's deepfake video had gone insanely viral on social media.

In the unverified video, the woman with Rashmika Mandanna's face can be seen getting into a lift, wearing a fitted outfit.

A journalist then came forward to say that the video is fake.

"There is an urgent need for a legal and regulatory framework to deal with deepfake in India. You might have seen this viral video of actress Rashmika Mandanna on Instagram. But wait, this is a deepfake video of Zara Patel,” he wrote on X.

Amitabh Bachchan had then reshared this post on X, urging for legal action to be taken against such incidents.

Rashmika Mandanna also took to Twitter and put out a strong message against such malpractices.

“I feel really hurt to share this and have to talk about the deepfake video of me being spread online,” tweeted Rashmika.

“Something like this is honestly, extremely scary not only for me, but also for each one of us who today is vulnerable to so much harm because of how technology is being misused. Today, as a woman and as an actor, I am thankful for my family, friends and well wishers who are my protection and support system. But if this happened to me when I was in school or college, I genuinely can’t imagine how could I ever tackle this,” she added.

Coming back to Kajol, the actress was last seen in the Disney+ Hotstar series ‘Trial’. She will next be seen in ‘Teen Patti’ opposite Kriti Sanon and Shaheer Sheikh. This film will also mark Kriti Sanon's debut as a producer.
