Ajay Devgn's 'Maidaan' has taken over New York as it was showcased at the famous Times Square.
Having given a box-office hit in 2024 in the form of 'Shaitaan', Ajay Devgn is now looking forward to giving consecutive box office hits. The actor will next be seen in 'Maidaan', which has been directed by Amit Sharma of 'Badhai Ho' fame. The new Hindi film is releasing in cinemas on Wednesday evening, however, the full-fledged release will be taking place on Thursday, April 11, which happens to be the occasion of Eid 2024. The makers are trying their best to create maximum hype surrounding 'Maidaan', and in the latest entertainment news, 'Maidaan' has taken Times Square, New York by storm. In a video going viral, Maidaan's poster can be shown appearing on the giant screen.
"#maidaan takes over ‘TIMES SQUARE ‘releasing 10th April in theatres near you," Boney Kapoor wrote as the caption on Instagram.

Coming back to 'Maidaan', the new Hindi film has so far sold 23,513 tickets for the opening day, grossing Rs 54.61 lakh.
'Maidaan' has already had its media screening, and the reviews started coming in from Tuesday. Ajay Devgn-starrer has received a favourable word-of-mouth so far, and this might help the film in the long run.
Reportedly, ‘Maidaan’ has been passed with no cuts by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and has a run time of 3 hours and 1 minute.
‘Maidaan’ is directed by Amit Sharma and it also stars Gajraj Rao and Priyamani in important roles.
The Boney Kapoor-backed film is going head-to-head against Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff-starrer 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' at the box office.
For the unversed, Ajay Devgn's 'Shaitaan', which also stars R Madhavan and Jyotika, is still running in cinemas. The movie which released on March 8, 2024, is nearing the Rs 145 crore mark in India.
