Akshay Kumar honoured Disha Patani by giving her a "black belt."
Akshay Kumar 15th International Kudo Tournament was held in Surat for four days and the event took place from November 26-29. The tournament was orchestrated by Akshay Kumar and the event highlighted the capabilities of Judo athletes. On Tuesday, Akshay Kumar attended the event, and he also met with several participants. Actress Disha Patani also graced the event, and she also shared her experience with MMA.
At the event, Akshay Kumar also honoured Disha Patani with a "black bet", and Disha Patani was ever-so-proud.
Disha Patani shared the picture on Instagram Story, and wrote, "Honoured to have been given an honorary black belt by our OG action hero @akshaykumar."

Earlier, Akshay Kumar had also shared a picture from the event, and taking to Instagram, he wrote, "At our 15th International Kudo Tournament today, taking a step closer to our vision to make Kudo accessible to all and joining me was another martial arts enthusiast @dishapatani."

Speaking about the event, Bollywood Hungama quoted Akshay Kumar as saying, "Martial arts is not just about physical strength; it's about discipline, focus, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. I am where I am today because of martial arts and I am honoured to contribute to the growth of Kudo in India and empower athletes to realize their full potential."
On the other hand, Disha Patani said, "I grew up watching Akshay sir doing crazy stunts and It was my dream to be able to do the wall run. This initiative from Akshay sir is such a blessing. And I’m so happy to be here.”
On the work front, Disha Patani and Akshay Kumar will be sharing the screen for 'Welcome to the Jungle'. The film will be releasing in theatres in 2024.
