Why didn't Akshay Kumar shoot for ‘Bigg Boss 18’ finale? The actual reason revealed by Salman Khan.
Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, who is gearing up for the release of ‘Sky Force’, was all set to make an appearance on the finale episode of the Salman Khan-hosted reality show ‘Bigg Boss 18’. However, he was nowhere to seen on the big night. As per reports, Akshay Kumar indeed reached the sets of ‘Bigg Boss 18’, along with his co-star Veer Pahariya to promote their film ‘Sky Force’. However, the Bollywood star left even before the shoot could begin.
When the ‘Bigg Boss 18’ finale got underway, Veer Pahariya did come on stage to help host Salman Khan announce the first eviction of the grand finale, revealing Eisha Singh has been eliminated.
Salman Khan then revealed that Akshay Kumar was indeed present on the sets to shoot for the finale, but he had to leave as he was late and Akshay had other work commitments.
“Akki is also in the film. I got a little late, and he had to leave for another function, so he left,” Salman Khan said.
As per HT City, Akshay Kumar left the ‘Bigg Boss 18’ sets as he had test screenings of his other film ‘Jolly LLB 3’, which is set to release in cinemas later this year.
“Being as punctual as he is, Akshay turned up on the set for his shoot at the scheduled time, around 2.15 pm. But Salman hadn't come by then. Akshay waited an hour for Salman to come, but he had a trial screening of Jolly LLB 3 in his schedule. Thus, after waiting for an hour, Akshay returned without even shooting for the show,” HT City quoted a source as saying.
For the unversed, Akshay Kumar, Veer Pahariya and Sara Ali Khan’s ‘Sky Force’ is set to release in cinemas on January 24, 2025. In the film, Akshay is playing the role of an Air Force officer, who is hell bent on taking revenge following the capture of a fellow soldier (Veer Pahariya).
Speaking about 'Bigg Boss 18', actor Karan Veer Mehra was announced as the winner on Sunday. Karan beat fellow TV star Vivian DSena to take the ‘BB 18’ trophy home. YouTuber Rajat Dalal finished as the second runner-up of ‘Bigg Boss 18’.
The other finalists were Avinash Mishra, Chum Darang, and Eisha Singh.
