Akshay Kumar Reveals Why He Does His Own Stunts Without Taking Body Double's Help
Bollywood star Akshay Kumar has revealed that he likes doing his own stunts and not taking body double’s help.
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar earned the moniker of 'Khiladi' after he impressed fans with his action movies. If you are a fan of the star, you would be aware that the actor prefers to do his own stunts and there is no use of a body double. In the latest entertainment news, Akshay Kumar has revealed that he likes doing his own stunts as he does not like to cheat his audience by not giving them the real action experience.
During a conversation at Amar Ujala Samvad in Lucknow, Akshay Kumar shared the reason behind not taking the help of body doubles.
“Our audience buys tickets of Rs 250, Rs 350 and come to watch us. They would like to see real things. I don’t want them to feel cheated. Some stunts are there, which you should not try and do it. They are very risky. That’s where you take VFX’s help. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan also has several stunts that we have done. At some places, VFX effects are used and stunts doubles are used," Indian Express quoted Akshay Kumar as saying.
"These stunts are very risky, life threatening too. But mostly I would like to give my audience the real stuff. You will see blasts. We go through the blast ourselves. We go through running, we fall, we tumble. That is important. I don’t want my audience to be cheated and give them what they require," he added.
Akshay Kumar said that the stunts are not done mindlessly, however, the fear of getting hurt is always there.
“That fear is always there, but the stunts we do, we make sure it is safe enough. Even if you are jumping off this stool, you should do all safety checks. You should know how to land. Similarly, it is important that whenever we do it, we ensure nothing goes wrong,” he said.
For the unversed, Akshay Kumar will next be seen in 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan', alongside Tiger Shroff. The film will be releasing on Eid 2024. The movie has been directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.
“We were coming in a flight and I am very scared of flying. I was sitting near the wing and happen to look out of the window. I remember Akshay had done a stunt in Khiladi 420 where he is standing on the wing of the plane and balancing. I was thinking what am I so scared of. I am sitting inside a plane and I am scared. Akshay sir has done daring baazi on top of a plane. I wish I could learn it from him," said Tiger Shroff.
