Bollywood star Akshay Kumar has kicked off promotions for ‘Jolly LLB 3’ with the trailer launch in Kanpur, and a witty exchange during the press conference has been winning him praise online. The launch event on Wednesday was attended by Akshay Kumar along with his co-stars Arshad Warsi and Saurabh Shukla. During the media interaction, a reporter asked Akshay about the depiction of ‘gutka’ (tobacco) consumption in the city, linking it to the film and probing him about his experience of shooting in Kanpur and his thoughts on the association of ‘gutka’ with the place.

Responding to the query, Akshay gave a straightforward answer, saying, “Gutka nahi khana chahiye.”

When the reporter attempted to interrupt him, the actor, known for his quick wit, immediately shut it down with humour. “Nahi, nahi… Interview mera hai ya tumhara? Aap mere muh mein words nahi dalenge… Main bol raha hoon, gutka khana bura hai, that’s it. Next question,” he quipped.

The video capturing the moment has since gone viral on social media, with fans lauding his response.

In ‘Jolly LLB 3’, Akshay Kumar will reprise his role as Jolly, with Arshad Warsi also leading as the other Jolly. The trailer teases a fiery face-off between the two characters, with both navigating courtroom proceedings through their own moral compasses and legal loopholes.

Their rivalry, peppered with punchlines, promises high drama and entertainment. The film also features Saurabh Shukla returning as Judge Tripathi, along with Amrita Rao, Huma Qureshi, and Gajraj Rao in pivotal roles. It is slated for release in theatres on September 19.

The Kanpur trailer launch marked the start of Akshay’s busy promotional calendar, as 2025 has already been an eventful year for him.

He has appeared in ‘Sky Force’, ‘Kesari Chapter 2’, ‘Housefull 5’, and ‘Kannappa’ – where he made his Telugu debut with an extended cameo.

Akshay Kumar is also working on ‘Haiwaan’, the Hindi adaptation of Mohanlal’s 2016 Malayalam film ‘Oppam’, in which he stars opposite Saif Ali Khan. In addition, Akshay has completed filming for ‘Bhooth Bangla’, a horror comedy that is yet to be released.
