Akshay Kumar Set To Rule 2024 With Three Big Releases On Major Festivals
Akshay Kumar, who is basking in the success of ‘OMG 2’, is set to rule 2024 with three mega releases on major festivals – Diwali, Eid and Christmas.
Bollywood megastar Akshay Kumar is winning hearts with his new Hindi movie ‘OMG 2’, co-starring Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam. The new Bollywood movie, which opened to good reviews from critics, has been performing well at the box. Despite facing tough competition from Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’, ‘OMG 2’ has already minted Rs 72 crore after releasing on August 11. Amid the success of ‘OMG 2’, the release date and official title of his upcoming film ‘Welcome 3’ has been announced.
Indian film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and shared the release date of ‘Welcome 3’, which is titled ‘Welcome To The Jungle’.

Interestingly, the original film ‘Welcome’ was also released on Christmas in 2007. As per reports, Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor who were a part of the original film won’t be reprising their roles. Instead, the ‘Munna Bhai M.B.B.S’ duo Arshad Warsi and Sanjay Dutt, will be replacing them.
Jacqueline Fernandez and Disha Patani are set to join the project as lead actresses. It has also been learnt that Suniel Shetty has also come on board for a new character.
Reportedly, the film is all set to go on floors soon. Shooting locations have been locked and work on the action scenes and character looks has started.
With the announcement of ‘Welcome 3’ for Christmas 2024 release, Akshay Kumar is all set to rule 2024 as he has locked two of his other major movies for release on big festivals.
Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ will release on Eid 2024 and ‘Housefull 5’ will be arriving in cinemas on the occasion of Diwali 2024.
‘Welcome’ and ‘Welcome Back’, both produced by Firoz Nadiadwala, have earned a special place in people’s hearts. The first installment featured stars like Katrina Kaif, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, and Mallika Sherawat.
‘Welcome Back’ continued the legacy with stars like John Abraham, Shruti Haasan, Dimple Kapadia and Naseeruddin Shah.
