Alia Bhatt was left mighty impressed with Vikrant Massey's '12th Fail'. Here's what the actress had to say!

'12th Fail', directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, starring Vikrant Massey and Medha Shankr in leading roles, released in theatres in October 2023, and the new Hindi movie emerged as an unlikely success story at the box office. The film made more than Rs 55 crore in India, and recently, it premiered on Disney+ Hotstar. Ever since its release on OTT, the film has been receiving praise from Bollywood stars, and the latest to give a shoutout to the film, is none other than Alia Bhatt. The 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' actress took to Instagram Story to praise the Vidhu Vinod Chopra-directorial, and she called the new Hindi movie as "one of the most beautiful films."

Taking to Instagram Stories, Alia wrote, "One of the most beautiful films I have seen in a while! With such fabulous performances. Just too too too beautiful. @vikrantmassey you were SO SO spectacular. I am in awe! @medhashankr heart and soul of Manoj's journey, so special and fresh and all things heartwarming. @anantvjoshi outstanding." 

"And lastly Vidhu Vinod Chopra sir - this film really hits the spot. So moving. So inspiring. So complete! I am full of love after watching this film. To the entire cast and crew! Take a bow," she added.

Earlier, Hrithik Roshan, who will soon be seen in Siddharth Anand's 'Fighter', also posted a glowing review of '12th Fail' on X (formerly Twitter).

Taking to X, Hrithik wrote, "Finally saw 12th Fail. It’s quite a masterclass in film making. Above everything else I was inspired by the use of sound and sound effects play in enhancing the moments. Brilliant performances. Mr. Chopra , what a movie ! Thank you for the brilliance. I am deeply inspired by this one."

Talking about '12th Fail', the new movie is based on a book by Anurag Pathak and the film chronicles the life of Manoj Kumar Sharma, who overcame extreme poverty to become an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer.

The new Hindi movie also highlights his journey and how his wife, IRS officer Shraddha Joshi, was instrumental in his rise.
