Watch: Alia Bhatt Raps Ranveer Singh’s Verse From ‘What Jhumka’ During Launch Of New ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ Song ‘Ve Kamleya’
Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh showed off their singing skills while launching their new song ‘Ve Kamleya’ from the upcoming movie ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’.
Ahead of the much-awaited release of Karan Johar’s next directorial venture ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, the movie’s lead stars, Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, have been extensively promoting the film. The new Hindi movie, which marks KJo’s big-screen return as a director after a hiatus of seven years. The upcoming Bollywood, also starring Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan, has garnered ample buzz with its captivating trailer and songs. Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh recently visited Delhi as a part of their promotional tour.
Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, who previously charmed everyone with their on-screen chemistry in the 2019 hit film ‘Gully Boy’, recently showed off their singing skills at the launch event of ‘Ve Kamleya’, a new song from ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’. The event was held in New Delhi and several videos of the duo are going viral on the internet.
In one of the clips, shared by Viral Bhayani on Instasgram, Alia Bhatt took everyone by surprise when she performed the rap from ‘What Jhumka’. She sang Ranveer Singh’s rap from the song as he helped her when she started to fumble.

Alia Bhatt didn’t stop at just rapping, her vocal strength was further showcased as she sang the film’s romantic track ‘Tum Kya Mile’. The song is originally sung by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal. A video of Alia singing the romantic number was shared by Viral Bhayani on Instagram.

Another video from the launch event is going viral on social media, which shows Ranveer Singh singing a few lines from the new Hindi song ‘Ve Kamleya’. The video of the same was shared by Miss Malini on Instagram.
Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh’s camaraderie was evident as the two also danced on the stage. In a video shared by Viral Bhayani, Ranveer Singh attempted to sing ‘Tum Kya Mile’. Alia Bhatt playfully interrupted and reminded him of their flight.

For the song launch event, Alia Bhatt wore an ombre chiffon saree, while Ranveer looked dapper in a black suit.
For the unversed, this is not the first time that Ranveer Singh lent his voice for a rap. He had previously rapped in the 2019 film ‘Gully Boy’. Alia Bhatt has also showcased her mesmerising voice in songs like ‘Samjhawan Unplugged’, ‘Ikk Kudi Club Mix’ and ‘Love You Zindagi Club Mix’.
Penned by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan and Sumit Roy, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ will hit the theatres on July 28.
