Ameesha Patel Reveals Why She Doesn’t Want Salman Khan To Get Married; Says He Makes Her Cry
Ameesha Patel opened up about her close bond with Salman Khan, revealing why she doesn’t want him to get married.
In a world where several Bollywood stars’ love stories often leave us gushing, actors like Salman Khan and Sushmita Sen have famously chosen to remain unmarried. Ameesha Patel, who is also one of them, recently opened up about the subject with her signature candid charm. In a recent chat with Filmymantra Media, Ameesha Patel spoke about relationships, marriages, and her close bond with Salman Khan. Talking about marriages and divorces in the film industry, she said, “I have seen all kinds of relationships around me.”
Ameesha Patel added, “I see harmonious ones like Sanju’s, and then there is someone like Hrithik, who has had a divorce, but he and Sussanne are co-parenting beautifully, and they are the best of friends now. So who am I to judge?”
But what caught everyone’s attention was what she said next about Salman Khan. “Salman is a cool cat and honestly, I don’t want to see him get married; he’s a cool dude, he’s loving and caring, and he is good to everyone,” she said.
When asked the cheeky question of whether she’d be open to marrying Salman herself, Ameesha laughed it off and offered a glimpse into their long-standing friendship.
“I have to do a complete interview of Salman – ki aap sudhare ho ya nahi. He is so loving as a friend that I have never seen him in that light because he has always been my buddy. A very naughty buddy. He plays a lot of pranks on me and even makes me cry. He kept my name Meena Kumari because I keep crying with him. So this is our relationship. I cannot even view myself like that. I am just happy being a good friend to him and the whole family,” she shared.
For those who don’t know, Salman and Ameesha shared screen space in the 2002 romantic comedy ‘Yeh Hai Jalwa’, directed by David Dhawan. The film featured an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Shammi Kapoor, Rati Agnihotri, and Kader Khan. Despite high expectations and star power, the film didn’t do well at the box office and remains a lesser-remembered title in both their careers.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan was last seen in ‘Sikandar’, which failed to live up to its box office expectations. However, he’s set to reunite with Sanjay Dutt for an upcoming action thriller and also has Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Kick 2’ in the pipeline. Ameesha, meanwhile, has yet to announce her next film project.
