Here's what SRK said about Nayanthara's character Narmada in 'Jawan'.

Shah Rukh Khan is currently riding high on the success of his latest film 'Jawan', which also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani and Sunil Grover. The new Hindi movie features cameos by Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt as well. The movie has now made more than Rs 530 crore in India across all languages, and it is expected to go past the collection of 'Pathaan' in India, over the weekend. In the latest entertainment news, SRK has been responding to fans on internet, expressing gratitude for the love and support towards 'Jawan'.

During an #AskSRK session on X, a fan praised the actor's character 'Azad' and his connection with Suji in 'Jawan'. The fan said that she liked how the movie depicted the single mom (played by Nayanthara).

Replying to the user, SRK said: "I also felt that the story of Narmada as a single mom was amazing. Unfortunately in the scheme of things couldn’t find more screen time but as is was also wonderful.”

For the unversed, in 'Jawan', Nayanthara plays the character of Narmada Rai, a special agent and the love interest of Shah Rukh Khan. 

Several reports emerged this week, stating that Nayanthara is upset with director Atlee because of her role being significantly edited or reduced. 

'Jawan' has been smashing box office records left, right and centre. The new Hindi movie has already made more than Rs 500 crore in India, and it is set to surpass the tally of 'Pathaan' this weekend.

Talking about 'Jawan', the movie directed by Atlee also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in leading roles. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, ‘Jawan’ features Shah Rukh Khan in the dual role of Vikram Rathore and his son Azad. It also stars Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt in special appearances.

The movie also features Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Priyamani, Ridhi Dogra, Ashlesha Thakur, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Girija Oak, Lehar Khan and Aaliyah Qureishi in pivotal roles.
