'Animal’ director Sandeep Reddy Vanga recently said that he wants to collaborate with Shah Rukh Khan.

Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga is gearing up for the release of his third directorial titled ‘Animal’, starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. The new Hindi movie also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and Triptii Dimri. ‘Animal’ will be releasing in theatres on December 1, 2023, and its advance ticket sales are going through the roof. The new Hindi movie is slated to become one of the biggest openers of 2023, and it remains to be seen how much the film eventually makes at the box office.

Before Ranbir Kapoor, Sandeep Reddy Vanga has worked with Vijay Deverakonda and Shahid Kapoor for ‘Arjun Reddy’ and ‘Kabir Singh’, respectively. Are you wondering who Sandeep Reddy Vanga wants to collaborate with next? Well, it’s none other than Shah Rukh Khan.

For the unversed, the director was spotted with SRK at the T-Series office in Mumbai. Speaking about the meeting with Pinkvilla, Sandeep Reddy Vanga said, “Yes, I did meet Shah Rukh Khan recently. I didn’t discuss at length, but I told sir, ‘I am a big fan’.”

The director then said that he wants to work with SRK one day. “I don’t know what kind of film I would make, but I definitely wish to make a film with Shah Rukh Khan,” he said.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga is known to make intense films. However, the filmmaker said that wants to direct a comedy film one day.

“I have a comedy script but I don’t know when I will do it. There is a thought, it’s not a family comedy but again, I can’t tell you the exact subject,” he said.

In the interview with Pinkvilla, Sandeep Reddy Vanga revealed that Ranbir Kapoor did not want the superstar tag to be used before his name in the ‘Animal’ title card.

“Ranbir never wanted that; very clearly he never wanted that. I wanted to put that on the audio teaser only, but he said, 'Please don't do that, I don't want that.' But for the poster, I convinced him because I said, 'Forget about what you're feeling; it's my feeling. I feel you're a superstar, I feel putting 'superstar' on the poster.' I remember watching Rockstar matinee,” Sandeep Reddy Vanga said.

“I wanted to watch it for another immediate show, but tickets weren't available, so I went for a second show. That pulling and calling only happens with the stars, right? That was in 2011, I think,” he added.

‘Animal’ will be releasing in theatres on December 1, 2023, and it will be clashing with Vicky Kaushal's ‘Sam Bahadur’, directed by Meghna Gulzar. The advance ticket sales indicate that ‘Animal’ would dominate the box office for at least the first two days.
