A post by the official account of the new Hindi movie ‘Animal’ has sparked quite a reaction from fans.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Animal’ has become quite a rage at the box office and on social media. While the makers of the Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol and Triptii Dimri-starrer have not officially responded to any of the criticism directed towards the film, the official Twitter page of 'Animal' held back no punches as it took a jibe at writer Swanand Kirkire, who had earlier voiced his displeasure over the film's treatment of women.

Swanand Kirkire was among the early critics of the film and he called the action drama out saying 'Animal' might take Indian cinema towards a dangerous and scary path.

In the latest entertainment news, the official Twitter page of 'Animal', which has more than 13,000 followers and is also followed by 'Animal' production house T-Series, shared a newspaper clipping of Swanand's statement with a vaguely worded tweet, attacking the writer, who was also tagged in the post.

“Do not let your knees fall ahead of your toes or cave in towards each other. Keep feet shoulder-width apart to maintain a good base of support for balance. Land softly on the balls of the feet to help absorb the force of the landing. Yes…. now it landed perfectly,” the tweet read.

Here are some of the fan comments:

"Vanga forgot to switch the account," wrote one user.

"My name is Vangaa, I only do Dangaa," wrote another user.

"Earning Money isn’t everything Mr. Vanga. Try to earn some respect," wrote one user.

"Hence confirmed @imvangasandeep manages this page," wrote one user.

The official page of 'Animal' also took a swipe at film journalist Anupama Chopra. On December 1, after watching the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer, Anupama had tweeted, "Can I just say I miss Kabir (reference to Sandeep Reddy Vanga's previous release 'Kabir Singh'). #Animal”

Quote-tweeting this particular post, the page wrote, "You can watch your favourite #KabirSingh again here."

For the unversed, 'Animal', which released on December 1, has sparked some serious discussion around the film, with many critics labelling the movie as problematic and misogynistic.

On the box office front, 'Animal' is destined to become one of the biggest Bollywood hits in the history of Indian cinema.

On Day 5 (first Tuesday), Ranbir Kapoor-starrer ‘Animal’ minted Rs 38.25 crore, across all languages in India, as per early estimates posted by industry tracker Sacnilk.

The five-day domestic nett total now stands at a whopping Rs 283.74 crore. With this, ‘Animal’ has become the second-highest grosser of Ranbir Kapoor’s career, only behind Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Sanju’.

Given its golden run at the box office till now, ‘Animal’ will likely cross the Rs 300 mark in India today.

This box office performance of ‘Animal’ is huge considering it is an ‘A’ (adults only) film and has a runtime of more than three hours. ‘Animal’ also clashed with Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Sam Bahadur’ at the box office. Both the new Hindi movies released in cinemas on December 1.
