‘Animal’ Star Triptii Dimri To Star Opposite Kartik Aaryan In ‘Aashiqui 3’: Report
Kartik Aaryan and Triptii Dimri are all set to star together for the first time. The Bollywood stars will be seen in Anurag Basu’s ‘Aashiqui 3’, as per reports.
Bollywood actress Triptii Dimri, who is basking in the success of her new Hindi movie ‘Animal’, has been the talk of the town ever since she starred in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial. She went viral on social media after her brief yet impactful role in the 2023 Hindi movie, starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. Fresh from her standout performance in the film, Triptii Dimri has bagged her next big film project. As per a recent report in Pinkvilla, Triptii Dimri will be starring alongside Kartik Aaryan in the much-awaited film ‘Aashiqui 3’.
According to a source close to the development, the makers have roped in Triptii Dimri to play the female lead in the musical love story.
“Triptii has been the talk of the town following the historic success of Animal and the makers feel that she would set the screen on fire with Kartik Aaryan. The conversations have been on for quite some time and the makers have now locked her as the female lead,” Pinkvilla quoted the source as saying.
The Anurag Basu directorial will go on floors in the first quarter of 2024. The other members of the star cast will be locked soon. According to the source, both Kartik Aaryan and Triptii Dimri will be doing some workshops and script reading sessions before starting to shoot for the film.
Interestingly, this will be the second franchise movie for Kartik Aaryan after ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’.
“It’s a new space for Kartik too and he will be looking to explore the intense side of romance. He has been a graduate of rom-coms and will now be switching zones to another world of love stories. He is also very excited to embark on this journey,” the source added.
‘Aashiqui 3’ will mark the first collaboration between Kartik Aaryan and Triptii Dimri. Apart from the upcoming ‘Aashiqui’ installment, Kartik Aaryan is also set to start work on the Anees Bazmee-directed ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, which is slated for a Diwali 2024 release.
Kartik Aaryan will also be seen in Kabir Khan's sports film ‘Chandu Champion’.
Triptii Dimri, who has starred in films like ‘Poster Boys’, ‘Laila Majnu’, ‘Bulbbul’ and ‘Qala’, will next be seen in Raaj Shaandilyaa's ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’, co-starring Rajkummar Rao.
She also has Anand Tiwari's ‘Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam’ with Vicky Kaushal in the pipeline.
