Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora reunited with a warm hug at the ‘Homebound’ premiere in Mumbai, surprising fans with their cordial bond after their breakup.
Bollywood stars and former couple Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora shared an unexpected yet heart-warming moment at the Mumbai premiere of ‘Homebound’, instantly becoming the highlight of the evening. The ex-couple, who have largely kept their distance since their breakup, surprised many by greeting each other warmly with a hug and smiles. The premiere, held on Monday, saw the attendance of lead actors Ishaan Khatter, Janhvi Kapoor, and Vishal Jethwa, along with several other celebrities.
Arjun came to support his sister Janhvi and the film’s team, while Malaika Arora also joined the star-studded screening. Among the many videos circulating online from the event, one clip in particular went viral: the reunion between Malaika and Arjun.

The video showed Arjun Kapoor interacting with actors, including Neha Dhupia, before posing for photos on the red carpet. Malaika Arora, walking towards him shortly afterward, greeted him with a warm hug and exchanged pleasantries. The two appeared cordial and at ease, despite their personal history.
Later, ‘Homebound’ director Neeraj Ghaywan was seen approaching them. He greeted both Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor, and the three were spotted chatting together, marking one of the rare times the former couple has been seen interacting in public since parting ways.

She wore a royal blue and black saree adorned with gold embroidery – a piece her mother had famously worn to Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s wedding reception in 2017.

Coming back to Malaika and Arjun’s relationship, they began dating in 2018 but kept their romance private at first. Over the years, they shared glimpses of their romance through vacation photos and birthday posts. However, by October last year, speculation about their split grew after Arjun publicly clarified his relationship status at an event in Mumbai.
When the crowd repeatedly shouted Malaika’s name, Arjun responded with, “Nahi abhi single hoon. Relax karo.”
Malaika Arora later reacted to Arjun Kapoor’s remark in an interview with Etimes. “I am a very private person, and there are certain aspects of my life that I don’t want to elaborate on. I will never choose a public platform to talk about my personal life. So, whatever Arjun has said is entirely his prerogative. I just want to say that, yes, it has been a very trying year for various reasons,” she said.
Their warm greeting at ‘Homebound’ event has reassured fans that the two continue to share mutual respect, even if they are no longer together.
