Rapper Honey Singh has threatened to file defamation case after assault allegations.
Rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh has threatened to file a defamation case after an owner of an event company filed a complaint with Mumbai Police for assaulting him. The 'Angrezi Beat' singer took to Instagram to react to the allegations and he said it is just an attempt to tarnish his image. “The complaint and the allegations are false and baseless. There is no connection or agreement between my company or the complainant which the media is showing since morning," Honey Singh said in his statement.
"I was engaged for the Mumbai Show through a company named Tribevibe which is a reputed company and a sister concern of Bookmyshow. I did my performance for whatever time the permission was there for. Rest all such allegations are false and an attempt to tarnish my image. My Legal Team is already working to file a defamation case against such miscreants," he added.
On Thursday, an event management company owner named Vivek Raman had filed a complaint against Honey Singh at the BKC Police Station in Mumbai, making serious claims such as assault.
Vivek Raman, the proprietor of a well-known event company, filed a police report against the rapper for kidnapping, and holding him captive. "In BKC, Mumbai, Vivek Raman organised Yo Yo Honey Singh’s Festivina programme. Vivek decided to cancel the programme on April 15th due to a difficulty in the money transaction," read an official statement.
"Angered by this, Honey Singh and his associates kidnapped Vivek and kept him in a hotel in Sahar, Mumbai, where he was abused," the complaint further states.
In his FIR against musician and rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh and his colleagues, he demanded their arrest.
