Eid 2024 releases 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' and 'Maidaan' are witnessing below-par advance bookings for Day 1.

It is very rare that the makers of a film are unsure about the release date even two days prior to the actual release. But 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' and 'Maidaan' are proving to be an exception as the makers' last-minute release date juggling has clearly impacted the advance booking trends of both the films.

For the unversed, Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' will now be released on April 11, instead of April 10. On the other hand, Ajay Devgn's 'Maidaan' will be having paid previews beginning Wednesday evening, however, the full-fledged release will be happening on April 11.

In the latest entertainment news, the advance booking data for April 11 for both the films is now out, and 'BMCM' has managed to take a slight lead over 'Maidaan'.

Ali Abbas Zafar's 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' has so far sold 16,182 tickets for the opening day, grossing Rs 39.12 lakh, as per industry tracker Sacnilk.

On the other hand, Boney Kapoor-backed 'Maidaan' has so far sold 12,805 tickets for the opening day, grossing Rs 27.5 lakh, as per Sacnilk.

Earlier, both 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' and 'Maidaan' were slated to be released in cinemas on April 10, but due to Eid 2024 falling on April 11, the release plans for both the movies went for a toss.

On a limited basis, the advance bookings were also opened for April 10, but the makers of both the movies decided to have a full-fledged release on April 11.

As per several trade analysts, tickets for April 10 paid previews for 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan', which was earlier opened to the public, will now be refunded.

Similarly, tickets for shows booked for anytime before 6 PM for 'Maidaan' on April 10 will also be refunded.

Reportedly, ‘Maidaan’ has been passed with no cuts by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and has a run time of 3 hours and 1 minute. As for ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, the CBFC had directed the makers to make a few modifications and the film’s run time was also reduced to 2 hours and 44 minutes.

‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ has been directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. It also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Alaya F, Manushi Chhillar and Sonakshi Sinha. ‘Maidaan’ is directed by Amit Sharma and it also stars Priyamani and Gajraj Rao in important roles.
