Raashii Khanna has opened up on her equation with Sidharth Malhotra, saying the actor is her "type".
Sidharth Malhotra, Raashii Khanna and Disha Patani-starrer 'Yodha' released in cinemas on March 15, and the new Hindi film met with lukewarm response. The film backed by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions has earned more than Rs 30 crore in India, however, it is safe to say that the film did not perform as per expectations. 'Yodha' might not have performed that well, however, fans have surely loved the chemistry between Sidharth and Raashii in the film. For the unversed, Sidharth Malhotra played the husband of Raashii Khanna in 'Yodha'.
In the latest Bollywood celebrity news, Raashii Khanna has opened up on her equation with Sidharth Malhotra, saying she isn't great friends with the actor.
"I’m an introverted person just like him. We aren’t great friends. It’s not like we’re buddies or we talk all the time,” she told News18 Showsha.
“We share a good and respectful co-star relationship. During shoot, we would keep to ourselves. There wasn’t really any ice to break. When I met him, I thought he was my type. He also felt like I was his type since we’re both introverts. And so, we never tried to encroach each other’s spaces,” the 33-year-old added.
Speaking further about her chemistry with Sidharth, Raashii said, "We understand the craft. We know what’s required of us as actors every time a love song comes our way. I knew that we look good onscreen but I couldn’t have imagined that we would get such an amazing response from the audience. They loved us together. It’s great that it worked.”
“We also share the Delhi connection. But the only thing ‘Delhi’ about us is our accent (laughs). He asked me, ‘Tu Dilli se hai?’ After that, we had some conversations about the same city. He also reads and so, I had some conversations on books with him and about films in general,” she added.
