Numerous reports surfaced online that Shah Rukh Khan-starrer 'Dunki' was “likely” to be postponed.

December 2023 will be a big month for Bollywood as there would be three high-profile clashes at the box office. First, Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal' will be clashing against Vicky Kaushal's 'Sam Bahadur' on December 1, and then a week later, Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif-starrer 'Merry Christmas' will go up against Sidharth Malhotra, Rashii Khanna and Disha Patani-starrer 'Yodha' on December 8. However, December 22 will witness the biggest box office clash in the history of Indian cinema as Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dunki' will go up against Prabhas' 'Salaar'

However, earlier this week, there were rumours that SRK's 'Dunki' might be postponed, in order to avoid clash with 'Salaar'.

This news left SRK fans upset and sad, and the naysayers were also trolling the superstar for being scared of 'Salaar' and Prabhas. However, we finally have some good news for SRK fans, as it has now been confirmed that 'Dunki' is indeed on coming on December 22, and there is no postponement.

"SRK - ‘DUNKI’ NOT POSTPONED… Yes, #Dunki is arriving on #Christmas2023… #DunkiTeaser releasing soon! #SRK #RajkumarHirani," trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote on X.

Check out the post here:

For the unversed, 'Dunki' has been directed by Rajkumar Hirani, who is known for projects like 'MunnaBhai MBBS', 'Lage Raho MunnaBhai', '3 Idiots', 'PK', and 'Sanju'.

Rajkumar Hirani is yet to deliver a flop at the box office. Apart from SRK, 'Dunki' also stars Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani, and Vicky Kaushal.

On the other hand, 'Salaar' has been directed by Prashanth Neel, and it features Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Ramachandra Raju, Sriya Reddy, Easwari Rao, among others.

This is the not first time that production house Hombale Films is going up against SRK. In 2018, Hombale Films' 'KGF: Chapter 1' had clashed with SRK's 'Zero', and it was the former that emerged as a massive success.

However, this year, the clash would be different as SRK is coming on the back of two blockbusters -- 'Pathaan', and 'Jawan'. On the other hand, Prabhas' last three films -- 'Saaho', 'Radhe Shyam', and 'Adipurush' performed miserably at the box office.
