Bobby Deol Joins YRF Spy Universe As Villain To Alia Bhatt And Sharvari Wagh: Report

After giving a menacing performance in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Animal', Bobby Deol is set to don the hat of a villain once again, and in the latest entertainment news, it has emerged that Bobby Deol will be playing the main antagonist in Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh's upcoming spy film. As a result, Bobby Deol is now the latest addition of the Yash Raj Films' (YRF) Spy Universe. According to a report in Pinkvilla, after playing the antagonist to Ranbir, Bobby Deol is now set to take on Alia Bhatt.
“After Animal, this is yet another author-backed antagonist turn for Bobby Deol. He will be playing the terrifying evil force who takes on Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in the film. The paperwork is done and Bobby is all excited to start shooting for the film in the second half of 2024," Pinkvilla quoted a source as saying.
The same report states that the character is tailor-made for Bobby Deol.
"It's a character full of swag and the audience will be surprised to see Aditya Chopra and Shiv Rawail's presentation of the antagonist turn," the Pinkvilla report stated.
"There's a special look for Bobby in the film," the publication quoted a source as saying.
For the unversed, the yet-untitled film will be the seventh film of YRF Spy Universe after 'Ek Tha Tiger', 'Tiger Zinda Hai', 'War', 'Pathaan', 'Tiger 3', and 'War 2'.
The Alia Bhatt and Sharvari-starrer is expected to go on floors later this year. The upcoming project is being touted as the most ambitious action film of India made with a female protagonist.
Post ‘Animal’, Bobby Deol is shooting for Aryan Khan's directorial debut 'Stardom', which is produced by Shah Rukh Khan.
Bobby Deol will also make his Tamil debut with ‘Kanguva’, directed by Siva.
Bobby Deol is known for his work in Hindi films like ‘Barsaat’, ‘Soldier’, ‘Gupt’, ‘Humraaz’ and ‘Ajnabee’.
