Mukesh Chhabra's Sensational 'Dunki' Claim, Calls SRK-Starrer "100 Times Better" Than 3 Idiots
Casting director Mukesh Chhabra has said that Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming movie 'Dunki' is "100 times better" than '3 Idiots'.
'Dunki', starring Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani, and Vicky Kaushal, is one of the most-anticipated movies of 2023. The new Hindi movie is slated to release on December 21, 2023, and it will be releasing one day ahead of Prabhas' 'Salaar'. In the latest Bollywood news, casting director Mukesh Chhabra has opened up on the experience of working on 'Dunki', and he feels that the Rajkumar Hirani-directorial will be remembered for years to come. For the unversed, 'Dunki' marks the first collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani, who is known for directing projects like the 'Munna Bhai' series, 'Sanju', 'PK', and '3 Idiots'.
In an interview with Indian Express, Mukesh Chhabra said that 'Dunki’ will be “remembered for the next ten years.”
“Raju Hirani is an entire film school, working with him is like a film institute. You learn every aspect of filmmaking when you work with that guy. I have done all his ads, PK and Sanju, so I have spent a lot of time. His casting doesn’t get over in a month, it goes on for 2 years because that man eats, breathes, sleeps films," he said.
“When I read the script of Dunki, I was blown away. If you loved 3 idiots, it is going to be 100 times better than that. I have cried whenever I have read the script. Everytime,” he added.
Talking about Mukesh Chhabra, he will next be seen in SonyLiv musical thriller 'Chamak'.
Further speaking of 'Dunki', Chhabra said, "The film will break all the records. It is the purest form of filmmaking, like how we remember Anand, Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s films, Do Aankhen Barah Haath? Same way you will be talking about Dunki for many, many years to come. I mean it. Every piece of my heart feels this."
On Wednesday, first song titled 'Lutt Putt Gaya' from 'Dunki' was released. The song features SRK turning a hopeless romantic for Taapsee Pannu’s character in the movie.
In the song, Shah Rukh Khan’s character Hardy looks head over heels in love with Taapsee Pannu’s Manu. Hardy can be seen expressing his love for Manu while dancing around his village.
The last shot of SRK’s Hardy lovingly staring at Manu (Taapsee) while she is praying at a gurdwara is a major highlight of the song. It reminds you how good SRK is at romancing his leading ladies.
'Dunki' is SRK's third release of 2023 after 'Pathaan' and 'Jawan'.
