A video of Ranbir Kapoor celebrating Christmas with his family has been going viral on social media. Now, in the latest entertainment news, a man in Mumbai has raised a complaint against the 'Animal' actor, accusing him and his family of "hurting religious sentiments." In the video, Ranbir Kapoor can be seen celebrating Christmas flame tradition in which a spirit is poured on the pudding and it is set aflame briefly. Actress Alia Bhatt, who is Ranbir Kapoor's wife, can also be seen in the video.
As Ranbir Kapoor set fire, he said, "Jai Mata Di."

A man named Sanjay Tiwari, has filed the complaint against Ranbir Kapoor at Ghatkopar police station through his lawyers Ashish Rai and Pankaj Mishra.
The man has claimed that the actor is pouring liquor on the cake and setting it on fire while saying "Jai Mata Di."
No First Information Report (FIR) has been registered in the case yet.
"In Hinduism, fire god is invoked before invoking other deities, but Ranbir Kapoor and his family members deliberately used intoxicants while celebrating the festival of another religion and chanted Jai Mata Di," the complaint says, as reported by NDTV.
For the unversed, the video that is going viral is from the annual Christmas brunch hosted by Kunal Kapoor, which was attended by Ranbir, Alia and their daughter Raha.
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt had also attended an intimate Christmas gathering at her mother Soni Razdan's place.
Sharing photos, Alia Bhatt wrote, “Grateful for this bunch.. grateful for so so much…Merry Merry Christmas & happy happy always."

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor had gotten married in April 2022. They welcomed their daughter, Raha, in November of the same year.
On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor was last seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Animal', and the film went on to become one of the most successful movies of 2023.
The movie, which also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and Triptii Dimri, went on to do a business of more than Rs 500 crore in India. Despite being bashed for its portrayal of toxic masculinity, 'Animal' struck a chord with the masses, and it emerged as a success story.
Talking about Alia Bhatt, the actress was last seen in Karan Johar's 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' alongside Ranveer Singh, Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra, and Shabana Azmi.
