In the latest entertainment news, 'Pathaan' actress Deepika Padukone has paid a figure of around Rs 10 crore in the form of taxes, and she is now the only female actor to make it to the list of highest tax-paying individuals last year. Alia Bhatt is in the second position on the list as she is paying around Rs 5-6 crore in taxes annually, stated Live Mint.
Earlier, the title of highest tax-paying female actor belonged to Katrina Kaif, as she had paid Rs 5 crore in tax during the period of 2013-2014.
As per several reports, Deepika Padukone's net worth is believed to be around Rs 500 crore.
She is at the second spot among female Indian celebrities in terms of highest net worth. The first spot belongs to Priyanka Chopra, who has a net worth of around Rs 620 crore.
Kareena Kapoor Khan has a reported net worth of around Rs 485 crore.
Forbes India had earlier stated that Deepika Padukone earned Rs 48 crore in 2019 and her primary source of income is endorsements.
In 2019, Deepika Padukone had beaten the likes of Rohit Sharma, Ajay Devgn and Rajinikanth to enter the top 10 Indian celebrities list who have the highest net worth.
Talking about Deepika Padukone, the actress will next be seen in Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' in a special appearance. She has also Siddharth Anand's 'Fighter' in the pipeline which also stars Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor.
Deepika Padukone will soon be making her way to the US to unveil footage from her upcoming movie 'Project K' at the San Diego Comic Con.
