Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh Expecting Their First Child, Claims Report
As per several reports, Deepika Padukone is in her second trimester.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are one of the most popular Bollywood couples. The duo had started dating while shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, and finally, the couple tied the knot with each other in Italy in 2018. In the latest entertainment news, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are reportedly expecting their first child. As per a report in The Week, Deepika Padukone is currently in her second trimester. As per the latest Bollywood gossip, the report states that there was speculation that Deepika Padukone may be pregnant as she was reportedly seen hiding her midriff during the 77th BAFTAs red carpet.
For the BAFTAs, where she presented the award for Best Film Not In The English Language to Jonathan Glazer, Deepika Padukone was dressed in a shimmery saree and custom jewellery.
Earlier this year, during her interaction with Vogue Singapore, Deepika Padukone was asked if becoming a mother is something she is looking forward to.
Replying to the question, Deepika Padukone said, "Absolutely. Ranveer and I love children. We look forward to the day when we will start our own family.”
"When I meet the people I have grown up with — my aunts, uncles, family friends — they always mention how I haven’t changed one bit. That says a lot about our upbringing... In this industry, it’s easy to get carried away by fame and money. But no one treats me like a celebrity at home. I am a daughter and a sister first. I don’t want that to change. My family keeps me grounded and Ranveer and I hope to inculcate the same values in our children," she stated further.
For the unversed, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh had tied the knot with each other in 2018 after six years of dating.
Last year, Deepika and Ranveer had celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in Belgium. The duo has starred in films like 'Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela', 'Bajirao Mastani', 'Padmaavat', and '83'.
On the work front, Deepika was last seen in Siddharth Anand's 'Fighter' alongside Hrithik Roshan, Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover and Akshay Oberoi.
She will be next seen in Nag Ashwin's 'Kalki 2898' AD alongside Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan. The film is slated to release in cinemas on May 9, 2024.
Speaking of Ranveer Singh, he will once again don the hat of 'Simmba' in Rohit Shetty's 'Singham Again', starring Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Deepika, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tiger Shroff and Arjun Kapoor. Ranveer will also headline Farhan Akhtar's 'Don 3', which is slated to arrive in 2025.
