Three Deepika Padukone Movies Make It To IMDb's List Of Most-Anticipated Movies Of 2024
As per IMDb, the list has been compiled based on the actual page views of millions of monthly visitors to IMDb worldwide.
The Internet Movie Database (IMDb) has finally unveiled its list of the most-anticipated Indian movies of 2024 and the list features at least one film from each major language. Deepika Padukone has three movies in the top five highly-anticipated Indian movies of 2024. As per the list, Siddharth Anand's 'Fighter' starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor is currently the most-anticipated Indian movie of 2024. For the unversed, 'Fighter' is slated to release in theatres on January 25, 2024, and the plot of the film will revolve around Indian Air Force (IAF) personnel.
“It’s an incredibly positive update that Fighter is the most anticipated Indian movie of 2024, as per IMDb. The response to Fighter’s teaser and songs has been extraordinary, and we hope to deliver a wholesome cinematic experience for our viewers on January 25, 2024. See you at the movies this Republic Day eve," Hrithik Roshan said in an official statement.
Among the 20 titles featured on the IMDb list, nine are Hindi films, five are Telugu movies, four are Tamil while one is Malayalam and one is Kannada.
Deepika Padukone's upcoming two movies 'Singham Again' and 'Kalki 2898 AD' are at the fourth and fifth spots in the list, respectively.
For the unversed, Rohit Shetty's 'Singham Again' also stars Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor and Tiger Shroff.
On the other hand, 'Kalki 2898' directed by Nag Ashwin also stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Rana Daggubati, Disha Patani and Dulquer Salmaan.
Allu Arjun's upcoming film 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' is at the second spot in the list while Akshay Kumar's 'Welcome to the Jungle' is at the third spot in the list.
Jr NTR's 'Devara' which also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan is at the 10th spot.
Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi's 'Merry Christmas', which is slated to release on January 12, is at the 14th spot in the list.
