Diljit Dosanjh's 'The Crew' to premiere at TIFF.

'Punjab 95' starring Diljit Dosanjh and Arjun Rampal will be premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). For the unversed, 'Punjab 95' is a biopic based on the life of Jaswant Singh Khalra, who was a prominent Sikh human rights activist. The new Hindi movie has been in the middle of a controversy for a long time and it all started with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) granting the film an 'A' certificate and it also ordered 21 cuts, including a change in the title, as reported by Times Now.

Right after the trouble with CBFC, RSVP Films had also approached the Bombay High Court, challenging the cuts made by the Censor Board.

Now amidst this ongoing controversy, the new title of the movie has been revealed, and it is now called 'Punjab 95'.

Diljit Dosanjh shared a fresh poster of the new Hindi movie on Twitter, and he wrote: "World Premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival! Presenting the first look of Punjab ‘95, a compelling story based on the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra Ji."

Check out the poster here:

For the unversed, Jaswant Singh Khalra had collected the evidence of the horrific murders that took place in Punjab right after the assassination of former India Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

The human rights activist was then killed in 1995.

‘Punjab 95' is being backed by Ronnie Screwvala, and the producer has previously backed many famous movies like 'Uri: The Surgical Strike', 'Sonchiriya' and 'The Sky Is Pink'.

Talking about Diljit Dosanjh, the actor will next be seen in 'The Crew' alongside Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, Kriti Sanon and Kapil Sharma.
