Lilly Singh Praises “Brother” Diljit Dosanjh After He Turns Coachella Into A “Mela”. Watch Electrifying Performance
Diljit Dosanjh took to the stage for his second performance at Coachella. Lilly Singh attended the concert and shared pictures with him.
Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh, who has appeared in several Bollywood films, scripted history a few days back when he became the first ever Punjabi singer to perform at Coachella. The singer, known for hits like ‘Lover’, ‘Patiala Peg’, ‘G.O.A.T’, ‘Do You Know’ and more, once again set the stage on fire and made the crowd groove to bhangra beats on Sunday. His second Coachella performance was also attended by popular internet personality Lilly Singh, who took to social media to praise Diljit Dosanjh.
For his second appearance, Diljit Dosanjh captured the essence of his cultural roots by channelling the quintessential Punjabi munda in an all-white look. The official Instagram handle of Coachella also shared a glimpse from the singer-actor’s performance.

In the video shared on Instagram, Diljit Dosanjh is seen making people groove to ‘Jatt Da Pyar Goriye’. Diljit Dosanjh, much like last time, paid tribute to his Punjabi roots when he wore tamba, kurta and turban for his stage show.
Fans were mighty impressed with Diljit Dosanjh’s performance and took to the comments section of the post to praise the singer.
One fan called him a “legend”.
Another one wrote, “Punjabi aa gaye coachella oyeee.”
“This is REPRESENTATION,” another comment read.
Lilly Singh, who attended the Coachella event for the first time, took to Instagram to praise her “brother” Diljit Dosanjh. She also shared a bunch of photos and a video of herself with the Punjabi singer.

Diljit Dosanjh also dropped some stills from his performance at the 2023 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
This year, Coachella had a line-up of some blockbuster South Asian talent, including Pakistani singer and 'Pasoori' fame Ali Sethi.
Bad Bunny was also among the artists who performed at Coachella. He was the first Spanish-language and first Latin American act to headline the music festival.
Belgium's pop star Angele made her ‘Coachella’ debut in a coveted night-time slot. Becky G, Eladio Carrion, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Kali Uchis, Blackpink and Frank Ocean also performed at Coachella.
Meanwhile, on the film front, Diljit Dosanjh is all set to feature in ‘The Crew’ along with Kareena Kapoor Khan. The film also stars Tabu and Kriti Sanon.
The shoot of the film began recently. Helmed by Rajesh Krishnan, the film is a story of three women. It is touted as a laugh-riot, set against the backdrop of the struggling airline industry.
Besides ‘The Crew’, Diljit Dosanjh will also be seen in Imtiaz Ali's upcoming film ‘Chamkila’. The actor will be seen alongside Parineeti Chopra in the movie. He will be portraying singer Amar Singh Chamkila on screen.
