‘Gadar 2’, starring Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma, has been grabbing headlines ever since the movie was announced. The sequel to the 2001 hit film, ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’, released in theatres on August 11 and has been receiving immense love from the audience. The new Hindi movie, directed by Anil Sharma, has also been performing well at the box office. ‘Gadar 2’ registered a bumper opening at the box office and has so far collected Rs 135 crore in India.

Movie lovers are rushing to the theatres to watch the action-packed sequel, which brought back Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel as Tara Singh and Sakeena along with Utkarsh Sharma as a grown-up version of their son Jeetey.

The fan frenzy around 'Gadar 2' hit new highs over the weekend as fans arrived on tractors to watch the new Hindi movie and several others were seen dancing in a theater after the film ended.

In the first video, enthusiastic fans cheering on top of tractors as they entered cinema halls to watch the Anil Sharma directorial. Many also stuck posters of Sunny Deol on the tractors as they entered the parking lot of a hall in huge numbers.

The second video, shared by Sunny Deol’s father Dharmendra on Twitter, showed a huge crowd dancing to the hit song ‘Main Nikla Gaddi Leke’ as the post-credits of the film scroll up on the big screen.

Dharmendra also posted another video on his Twitter account, which showed Esha Deol posing with Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol.

The new Hindi movie collected a whopping Rs 52 crore on Sunday, as reported by industry tracker Sacnilk. This is the highest day collection for 'Gadar 2' so far after the Anil Sharma-directorial collected Rs 40 crore and Rs 43 crore on Friday and Saturday respectively.

The total three-day collection of 'Gadar 2' now stands at Rs 135 crore nett, and it is all set to breach the Rs 200 crore mark by Tuesday (August 15, Independence Day).
