From 'Dunki' To 'Salaar' Hindi: What To Watch On OTT This Weekend

The weekend is here, so we are also here to give you recommendations on what you can watch across several OTT platforms. 'Dunki' and 'Salaar' clashed in theatres when they released in the second-last week of December 2023, and the two movies are back at it again, as they have released on different OTT platforms in the same week. While 'Salaar' was earlier made available on Netflix in all South Indian languages, but fans were eagerly waiting for the Hindi version to start streaming. Well, finally 'Salaar' Hindi is available to watch, and you can stream it on Disney+ Hotstar. Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dunki' can be watched on Netflix.

1. Dunki (Netflix)
After running in cinemas for more than a month, Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani, Anil Grover and Vikram Kochhar-starrer 'Dunki' has finally premiered on Netflix. The Rajkumar Hirani-directorial is based on the practice of illegal immigration. For the unversed, 'Dunki' is the first collaboration between SRK and Rajkumar Hirani. You can watch the movie on the streaming platform now.
2. Salaar Hindi (Disney+ Hotstar)
The Prashanth Neel-directorial starring Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan and Shriya Reddy is available to watch in Hindi on Disney+ Hotstar. 'Salaar' is about a fictional city of Khansaar where a civil war breaks out between two tribes for the throne. A ceasefire is then announced, and it forces the competitors to stop killing each other. It is then that Raja Vardha Mannar (Prithviraj) calls for help from his childhood friend Deva (Prabhas), and the entire sequence of events ends up changing in his favour.
3. The Kerala Story (ZEE5)
The Adah Sharma-starrer released in cinemas in May 2023, but fans were continuously asking for its OTT premiere date. After waiting for more than 9 months, the film has finally arrived on ZEE5. The Hindi movie starring Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Siddhi Idnani and Sonia Balani had earned more than Rs 200 crore at the box office.
The makers had originally stated that the film is based on the stories of more than 32,000 Kerala women who have allegedly been radicalised by Islamic fundamentalists. However, amid huge backlash, the makers changed their statement, saying the film depicts “true stories of three young girls from different parts of Kerala.”
4. Love Storiyaan (Amazon Prime Video)
The show was released on the OTT platform on Valentine's Day 2024. The show introduces us to real-life couples and then we are given a glimpse into their journey. The series features six heart-warming stories of love. Produced by Karan Johar's Dharmatic Entertainment, the series has been conceptualised by Somen Mishra along with Karan Johar, and Apoorva Mehta.
5. Dune: Part One (Netflix)
The Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya-starrer was released in theatres in 2021, and Dune Part 2 is slated to hit the Indian cinemas on February 29, 2024. Ahead of the release, you can watch the first installment on Netflix. The film's plot revolves around a young man played by Chalamet and how he travels to a dangerous planet, after his father is killed.
