From Janhvi Kapoor To Saif Ali Khan: Bollywood Stars Making Their South Debut In 2024
Here is the list of Bollywood actors who are going to make their South debut in 2024.
Gone are the days when Bollywood actors just wanted to restrict themselves to Hindi cinema. Ever since SS Rajamouli's 'Baahubali' series made Prabhas a pan-India star, several actors across India have been trying to break the language barrier and achieve super stardom right through the country. We are now witnessing Hindi film actors trying their hand in Telugu or Tamil movies to create a pan-India presence for themselves. 2024 will see several Bollywood actors making their debut in South movies, so in this article, we have decided to name some high-profile Bollywood actors who will be making their regional film debut this year.
So without further ado, the list is as follows:
Saif Ali Khan
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, who is known for movies like 'Omkara', 'Dil Chahta Hai', 'Kal Ho Na Ho, and 'Hum Tum', will be making his Telugu debut with 'Devara'. His first look poster from the film was released on the occasion of his 53rd birthday last year. Directed by Koratala Siva, the film also features Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor. It is slated to release in cinemas in October 2024.
Janhvi Kapoor
Janhvi Kapoor will also be venturing into Telugu cinema with 'Devara'. Apart from this, she will be seen in another Telugu film, opposite Ram Charan. The collaboration between Janhvi and Ram Charan is currently tentatively titled 'RC 16'. Earlier, Janhvi had said that she regrets not learning Telugu. "I never learned Telugu and it is something I am ashamed of. I can understand it phonetically, but I can’t speak it. Yes, it is one of my biggest regrets. This part of me had been dormant for a while. But the Devara team is very patient and helpful. They are working with such stalwarts and I am so grateful they are just a call away to help me with my lines," Janhvi told The Week.
Disha Patani
Disha Patani will be starring in two South movies in 2024 -- 'Kalki 2898 AD' and 'Kanguva'. In 'Kalki 2898 AD', Disha will share the screen with Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan. While in 'Kanguva', Disha Patani has been paired opposite Tamil superstar Suriya.
Bobby Deol
'Animal' star Bobby Deol will be making his South debut with 'Kanguva'. As per reports, Bobby Deol is playing the main antagonist in the film. He will also be seen in 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu' opposite Pawan Kalyan.
Shanaya Kapoor
Shanaya Kapoor, the daughter of Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor, will be making her debut in the South with 'Vrushabha' alongside Mohanlal. She is playing a key role in the film produced by Ekta Kapoor. The film also stars Garuda Ram, Simran and Srikanth.
