Here’s why ‘Jigra’ director Vasan Bala is apologising to Shraddha Kapoor fans.

Director Vasan Bala, known for films like ‘Monica, O My Darling’ and ‘Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota’, is gearing up for the release of ‘Jigra’. On Sunday, the film’s teaser trailer was released, which gave a glimpse of Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina’s characters without giving away anything about the movie’s plot. Several fans and celebrities praised the film’s teaser trailer and Alia Bhatt’s performance in it. Shraddha Kapoor, who is basking in the success of ‘Stree 2’, also took to Instagram to hail Alia and director Vasan Bala. The ‘Raazi’ actress thanked Shraddha for her praise.

Looking at Shraddha’s Instagram Story, Vasan Bala also thanked her and apologised to her fans. For the unversed, the apology came after he missed out on mentioning Shraddha Kapoor in his appreciation post for 'Stree 2'.

For the unversed, Shraddha Kapoor took to her Instagram Stories on Sunday to re-share the teaser of 'Jigra', and she wrote, "Ye toh theatre mein bhai ke sath dekhna hai. Kya kamaal ladki hai @aliaabhatt Kya amazing trailer hai @vasanbala.”

Vasan Bala has now responded to Shraddha's praise, saying, "Thank you Shraddha, hope you and Siddhanth enjoy the film too. And unrelated but I'll take this opportunity to address – sorry to your fans. Bhool chuk maaf."

Alia Bhatt also reposted Shraddha's compliment, saying, "Hahaha thank you my blockbuster Stree."

For the unversed, 'Stree 2' released in cinemas on August 15, 2024, and it was then that Vasan Bala had taken to Instagram Stories to send a shoutout.

He mentioned Rajkummar Rao, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi, director Amar Kaushik, producer Dinesh Vijan, and writer Niren Bhatt, but missed out on including Shraddha.

Talking about 'Stree 2', the film has gone past the Rs 530 crore mark in India, and it remains to be seen whether it manages to break the record of 'Jawan' or not, to become the highest grossing Hindi film of all time in India.

Speaking of 'Jigra', the upcoming Hindi movie also stars Manoj Pahwa. It is slated to release in cinemas on October 11.
