Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone's 'Fighter' "Banned" In Gulf Countries, To Only Release In UAE

'Fighter', starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor, has been banned in Gulf countries.

'Fighter', directed by Siddharth Anand, starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor, is one of the most highly anticipated movies of 2024, and the film will finally be releasing on January 25. Fans cannot wait to see this aerial actioner on the big screen, and it needs to be seen how much the film ends up making on the first day of its release.

However, ahead of its release, 'Fighter' has received a big blow. In the latest entertainment news, it has come to light that the film has been banned in the Gulf countries, and it will only be releasing in the UAE.

Pinkvilla journalist Himesh Mankad posted about this development on his X (formerly Twitter) account.

Taking to X, Himesh Mankad wrote, "GULF CENSOR BOARD PUTS A BAN ON FIGHTER! Censor board in Gulf Countries have put a "Ban" on the release of #Fighter. The #HrithikRoshan, #DeepikaPadukone film directed by #SiddharthAnand won't release in GCC with exception of UAE."

For the unversed, the trailer of 'Fighter' was released on January 15, and the advance booking for the film began last Saturday (January 20).

So far, three songs from 'Fighter' have been released and they are -- 'Sher Khul Gaye', 'Ishq Jaisa Kuch', and 'Heer Aasmani'. 

The runtime of the film was revealed recently, and ‘Fighter’ is 2 hours and 46 minutes long. The film has received a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). ‘Fighter’ is being touted as India's first aerial action film.

For the unversed, ‘Fighter’ is the third collaboration between Hrithik Roshan and Siddharth Anand after ‘Bang Bang’ and ‘War’. The upcoming movie is also the third collaboration between Deepika Padukone and Siddharth Anand after ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ and ‘Pathaan’.
