Watch Video: Shah Rukh Khan Makes A Splash In ODI World Cup 2023 Promo
ICC on Thursday unveiled the first promo for the World Cup, and it features none other than Shah Rukh Khan.
The ICC Men's Cricket ODI World Cup 2023 will be held in India in October-November this year and fans cannot wait for the sporting spectacle to start. The tournament will kickstart on October 5 with 2019 finalists England and New Zealand taking on each other. Team India will play their first match on October 8 against Australia in Chennai. In the latest entertainment news, cricket’s governing body on Thursday unveiled the first promo for the World Cup, and it features none other than Shah Rukh Khan.
In the video, Shah Rukh Khan talks about how the ODI World Cup is special and how every player wants to win the trophy.
The video also features cricketers like JP Duminy, Shubman Gill, Dinesh Karthik, Eoin Morgan, Muttiah Muralitharan, Jonty Rhodes and Jemimah Rodrigues.

In the video, SRK says: "The difference between making history and being history one day. Jerseys will be worn and chests will swell with pride on that one day. Passion will triumph and memories will be etched on that one day. Fears will be conquered and odds will be braved on that one day. From the highs of joys to the lows of anguish, it will all be embraced on that one day."

The promo has been developed in partnership with the ICC’s global broadcast partner, Disney Star.
BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, in a statement, said: “The ODI format holds an unparalleled significance with its ability to deliver thrilling moments, intense battles, and unpredictable outcomes that will truly captivate fans globally. As we embark on this journey, we are proud to see the launch of the Men’s Cricket World Cup campaign and create real excitement for the event across the world."
Talking about SRK, the actor was last seen in Siddharth Anand's 'Pathaan' which also starred Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. The movie collected more than Rs 500 crore in India, and it is now the highest-grossing Hindi movie in the country.
He will next be seen in Atlee's 'Jawan' which also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sunil Grover and Deepika Padukone.
