Imran Khan is all set to make his comeback with a Netflix film.

Once the poster boy of modern Bollywood romances, Imran Khan burst onto the scene with ‘Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na’ in 2008 and quickly became a heartthrob. With hits like ‘I Hate Luv Storys’, ‘Delhi Belly’, and ‘Break Ke Baad’, he built a loyal fan base that still reminisces about his charm. But after the failure of ‘Katti Batti’, Imran Khan quietly stepped away from the spotlight, choosing to take a hiatus from acting. Now, after nearly a decade off-screen, the actor is finally ready to make a long-awaited comeback – and fans couldn’t be more excited.

As per several reports, Imran Khan is all set to make his much-awaited comeback as he will star in Netflix rom-com, alongside Bhumi Pednekar.

Film journalist Rahul Raut took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a picture of the clapboard, confirming that Imran Khan is indeed returning to Bollywood.

“#ImranKhan RETURNS TO MOVIES AFTER A DECADE as he officially begins shooting for his COMEBACK FILM today in Mumbai... #BhumiPednekar and @gurfatehpirzada also star in this dysfunctional romantic dramedy... #BreakKeBaad director Danish Aslam helms this @NetflixIndia film,” he wrote.

As per reports, the script of the upcoming film has been written by Danish Aslam.

“The platform wants to make the first announcement themselves. Bhumi Pednekar is locked for the leading role with Imran. The pre-production work is in full swing, and the cameras will roll in a month,” HT City quoted a source as saying.

For the unversed, Imran Khan had first appeared as a child artist in the films ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’ and ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar’, both starring Aamir Khan in the lead role.

Imran Khan, who is the nephew of Aamir Khan, then made his adult acting debut in 2008 with ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’. His performance in the film won him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut.

He later starred in a number of films like ‘I Hate Luv Storys’, ‘Delhi Belly’, ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ and ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’.

Earlier, while speaking to Vogue, Imran Khan had said that he “hit a low in 2016 where I felt broken inside. At that point, it wasn’t my career because I wasn’t excited by it enough to want to work hard for it.”

“I had recently become a father and thought, ‘This is valuable. This is something I take seriously.’ I wanted to be the best version of myself for Imara. I decided it was no longer my job to be an actor. Now, I had to fix myself; be at my healthiest and strongest for my daughter,” he added.

During his interview, Imran Khan also revealed the many changes he has made in his life, including moving out of his plush Pali Hill bungalow.
