Fresh off his maiden IPL title win with Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Indian cricketer Virat Kohli is making the most of his time in London. And what better way than catching the action at Wimbledon 2025? On Monday evening, Virat Kohli and his wife, actress Anushka Sharma were spotted at Centre Court, attending the men’s singles round of 16 match between Novak Djokovic and Alex de Minaur. But they weren’t the only familiar faces in the crowd. Indian actress Avneet Kaur also turned heads with her appearance at the iconic sporting event.

Given Virat Kohli’s past viral moment involving Avneet Kaur (remember the infamous Instagram-like incident?), the internet is having an absolute field day. Social media is flooded with hilarious reactions, and fans can’t help but draw cheeky connections between the two.

On Monday, Virat and Anushka were spotted seated in the stands at Centre Court as Novak Djokovic defeated Alex de Minaur to secure a spot in the quarterfinals.

The celebrity couple brought their fashion A-game, dressed in crisp formals as they watched the 24-time Grand Slam champion in action. Virat’s intense expressions during the match quickly became meme material, with many fans wondering why he looked so visibly upset.

On Tuesday, Avneet Kaur took to Instagram to share glimpses from her visit to Wimbledon 2025. The photos featured her striking stylish poses at various iconic spots across the venue, soaking in the tennis buzz in true glam fashion.

“A day at @wimbledon. Thank you so much @wimbledon for having me! “There’s only one Wimbledon” #hosted,” she wrote on Instagram.

Soon after Avneet Kaur’s Instagram post surfaced online, several social media users reacted to it.

One user wrote, “Virat also there.”

“Virat was at Wimbledon at the same time as Avneet makes sense why he was so serious,” wrote another user.

A third one said, “Virat bhai ka peecha kr rahi hai.”

“Move over Urvashi, you have competition,” wrote one user.

Earlier this year, Virat Kohli was at the centre of a huge social media storm after several users noticed that his Instagram account had liked a post from a fan page dedicated to actress Avneet Kaur.

Virat then issued a statement claiming the “engagement” was “triggered by the algorithm”.

“I'd like to clarify that while clearing my feed, it appears the algorithm may have mistakenly registered an interaction. There was absolutely no intent behind it. I request that no unnecessary assumptions be made. Thank you for your understanding,” he stated.

Recently, Virat Kohli announced his retirement from Test cricket, having played 123 Tests. He also captained India in 68 matches.
