"Guy Who Made Hate Story": Vivek Agnihotri Trolled After Accusing SRK, Karan Johar Of Damaging "Cultural Fabric Of India"
Vivek Agnihotri has blamed Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar for damaging the "cultural fabric" of India through their movies.
'The Kashmir Files' director Vivek Agnihotri is at it again! This time he has blamed Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar for damaging the "cultural fabric" of India through their movies. In an interview with DNA India, the filmmaker said that Amitabh Bachchan's 'Shahenshah', the storytelling in Hindi cinema saw a downfall. “After the advent of Amitabh Bachchan as a superstar – not the one from Deewar but one from Shahenshah – the cinema after that never told real stories. Especially Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan’s cinema, that has actually damaged the cultural fabric of India in a very disastrous way. So, I felt it was important to tell real, honest stories," Vivek Agnihotri told DNA.
The internet is now not pleased with the comments made by Vivek Agnihotri, and one user referred to him as Mr Kangana, the male counterpart of Kangana Ranaut, who has been accusing Karan Johar of ruining Bollywood for years.
Here are some of the comments:
"Band kr Bhai SRK ke naam pe fame lootna," wrote one user.
"Mansik rogi hai ye agnihotri," commented another user.
"Look who is talking about destroying the "cultural fabric" of this country. Irony laughed, then cried and then died after seeing his comments," commented another user.
"isne ek film bna li to ud raha hai...iski khud ki filmography dekh lo," wrote another user.
"I can relate to what he means. But I don’t think SRK or Karan Johar have destroyed Indian culture through cinema…Isnt he the guy who made Hate Story? So he tells a story about a woman who can seek revenge, by f*** every man. Lmao," commented another story.
"Sooooo sooooo relieved that the sanity fabric of India is intact with so many calling out Vivek Agnihotri...India u still give me.hop," wrote another.
"He needs therapy and help," wrote another user.
Karan Johar had made his directorial debut with the 1998 romantic comedy 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', in which Shah Rukh Khan had played the lead role.
SRK and Karan Johar then reunited for movies like 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham', 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna', and 'My Name Is Khan'.
